During my tenure with the Urban Development team, we executed a comprehensive GIS-based infrastructure assessment project for the rapidly growing core area of Pokhara Metropolitan City. The work focused on analyzing the feasibility of a new transit line and optimizing traffic flow using geospatial tools. The project combined remote sensing analysis, ground truth verification, and urban simulation modeling to provide actionable data for city planners.
Our deliverables included detailed land-use maps, digital elevation models (DEMs) derived from open-source data, and a full economic impact report. We gained extensive experience in spatial data integrity, complex map generation, and stakeholder communication in a major urban development context.
