Overview

I participated in the PCI Bridge Inspector Workshop and Design Seminar, organized by the Georgia/Carolinas Prestressed Concrete Institute (G/C PCI), at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 8–9, 2026.

Here, I gained valuable insights on the Bridge Design of Prestressed Concrete Bridges, including the details of PCI 137 handbook for "Evaluation & Repair of Precast, Prestressed Concrete Bridge Products". The workshop was insightful with talks from professionals from GDOT, NCDOT, WJE, CONTEC, and so on.

The workshop and seminar also complement my research interests in structural engineering, particularly when i looked at the quite fascinating reserach going on at Structural Lab at Georgia Tech (G.tech) from 3D printing, to robotic arm to ballistic impact studies.
